Sculpted Ceramics

Working with clay as my medium, I specialise in forms that focus on colour, texture, sculptural elements. Embellishments, after the glaze firing process, are often in the form of lustres, metallic pastes, and gold or bronze leaf. My work playfully subverts seemingly functional forms into non-functional pieces, using a multi-layered approach of wheel, hand building and sculptural techniques. I am not afraid to explore the fantastical, sometimes darker aspects of our psyche.
