Painting

I studied interior design at college but fine art was not on the curriculum. When I left, I attended life drawing classes for two or three years but I didn't pick up a pencil or charcoal for many years until I joined a local art class and fell in love with oil paints – the most luscious and forgiving medium. I paint various subjects figuratively: still life, portrait, self-portrait, flowers. Recently I have been working from photos of characters who capture my imagination.
