Oil Paint | Mixed Media | Painting
Painting is my passion — pure and enduring.
I work intuitively in many layers of thick and thin oil paint, exploring the interplay of texture, transparency, and depth. I use a range of techniques — from knife work and squeegees to dripping and pouring — to create dynamic, tactile surfaces. Colour and texture are at the heart of my practice, drawing inspiration from the world around me, particularly landscapes. My aim is not to depict a scene, but to evoke the sensation of being immersed within it — a kind of abstracted experience of place.
I am fascinated by the way light interacts with the textured surfaces of my work, revealing hidden layers and subtleties. The stratification of colour creates an ever-changing visual experience: what is seen up close differs dramatically from the impression at a distance. I seek to strike a balance between contrasting qualities — rough and smooth, gentle and bold — allowing these tensions to coexist harmoniously within each piece.
My intention is for the painting to extend beyond the canvas, becoming an active presence within a room rather than simply an object on the wall.
My work has been exhibited and collected internationally, including in New York, Miami, Zurich, Singapore, Hong Kong, Copenhagen, Mallorca, London, and beyond (please see below for details). I also warmly welcome commissions and would be delighted to discuss new projects.

Studio information
The studio is on the ground floor.
There are 2 small steps to access the property and one small step down from the corridor to the kitchen. WC is on ground floor. All artwork will be on the ground floor.
Sorry, we have an anxious cat, no dogs allowed.
