Jon Perry

Jon was born in Hawaii and his family moved to London in 1964. On leaving school, he went to New York City for a year and worked on several collaborative art projects before returning to Britain and going to study painting at Chelsea College of Art. His love of photography started at the age of 12, when his secondary school (Holland Park School) offered photography as part of the curriculum. Although Jon has done many photographic jobs over the years, he recently committed to being a full-time photographer.

Jon loves a wide variety of subject matter; it doesn’t matter if it is nature, architecture, people, ‘street’, local, travel… but he has two overriding loves: the play of light, and the interplay of figurative/non-figurative – a concept particularly suited to the medium of photography.

Jon’s extensive portfolio of images can be seen on Flickr. Besides the 'Photostream' his images are organised into subject albums for easier browsing.

Jon was commissioned by Artists at Home June 2017 to provide photographs to show the essence of the event, a commission 'made in heaven' for him!
