Ceramics, painting, textiles
I’m not sure there’s anything quite as relaxing, absorbing and satisfying as laying paint on canvas. I work mainly in oils, occasionally in watercolour or acrylics. I’m cheered and uplifted by bright and vibrant colours and appealing shapes of fruits, vegetables and flowers. I also enjoy painting the birds that visit our garden in Shepherd’s Bush. I’ve taken elements of my paintings to create textile designs for aprons, oven gloves tea towels and cushion covers. New this year is a range of melamine trays, as well as ceramic platters and bowls.
The studio is not on the ground floor.
A couple of steps after the gate, then left across front paved area and down the stairs to the basement flat.
125 Goldhawk Road is on the south side of the road, between Sycamore Gardens and Brackenbury Road. It's about a 4 minute walk from Goldhawk Road tube station and there's a bus stop (St. Stephen's Avenue) pretty much outside the door served by the 94 and the 237. Come and enjoy a cup of proper coffee or tea and a biscuit or two.
