After art school and a career in advertising in London as an art director and then as a designer in new product development I went freelance in the 1980s. My work included package design as well as food illustration commissions for magazines.
I also began painting for myself and in the 1990s sold, reproduced as cards and prints through companies like Rosenstiels and Images & Editions throughout Europe and North America. My paintings also sold well in galleries including the Mall Galleries in London and Galerie d’Orsay in Paris. I am also a photographer and for many years and with my late husband (travel and jazz writer and magazine editor) enjoyed undertaking travel and jazz photography assignments.
In the 1990s and 2000s reportage wedding photography was another area that I turned my eye to and via word of mouth I would typically undertake 50 weddings each year which was great fun. This included assignments from Brides Magazine and Wedding and Home.
In recent years I have returned to painting. I have also written and illustrated a range of children’s books.
The studio is on the ground floor.
