I am, first and foremost, a designer and my inspiration is in the detail that surrounds me, shadows, lines, nature, colour and particularly architecture. My enduring passion for the linear is evident and is something that continues to fascinate me.

I studied Graphic Design at Central School of Art & Design in London between 1971-1974. I worked as a freelance book designer, art director and author for publishers specialising in children’s books under my maiden name Morton.

In 1998 I collaborated with my husband to brand and launch Isokon Plus furniture company and retail shop in Chiswick.

In 2010 I started working with textiles creating works with strong graphic images using various mediums; dyeing, painting, silkscreen printing, stitching and quilting. Painting was an extension of my textile work and for the last few years has become the medium I relate to most for my creative output, the need to express myself and to create a sense of order in an otherwise chaotic world.

I now live iand work n London having moved my studio back here from Uzès in France.
