All pieces are built by hand using stoneware clay and burnished with a smooth pebble. No glazes are used but the pieces are subjected to heat and flames and smoke, either in a pit, a bonfire or a dustbin. This low tech approach mimics the process used by potters for thousands of years and gives each piece its unique quality as it is impossible to predict exactly the end result.
