Mixed media, painting
Hiawyn Oram has had a primary career writing children's books, lyrics, poetry and scripts. She began drawing and painting 25 years ago after going on a sculpture course under Abigail Downing. Continuously experimenting with oil, acrylics and sometimes mixing media including charcoal, pastels and inks, she paints figurative, impressionist and abstract pieces, always with a story to be told. Work ranges from small, inexpensive pieces on paper through medium-sized canvases with some large at 100 x 100cms.
