I am inspired by the traces left through decay and dilapidation and by the marks stamped on the urban environment
My art jewellery combines precious and non-precious metals. Enamels add colour but my palette is subtle and restrained. My fine art background influences my approach and I draw into my enamelled surfaces to explore and develop mark making.
After kiln-firing enamels I stone away the glassy finish to create subtle areas of hue and tone and a smooth matt surface. When patches of bare steel are revealed they are encouraged to rust.
